I had another post planned for this evening, but I’ve just learned that William “Wild Bill” Guarnere – of the 101st Airborne, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Easy Company – has passed away.  

Moments in time

 Within the volumes of papers my father gave me of my great uncle’s, there are dozens of letters. Some of them are sweet, others beautiful or funny, and a few move me to tears.
