I found pretty jewel-toned fabrics squares with the Star of David on them over on Amazon, and I knew I just had to buy them. Once they arrived, it took me a while to come up with a pattern, but I’m happy to say that my sewing project is now complete. I made this mini runner to sit beneath my Shabbat candlesticks. I sewed the pieces together by hand, and then quilted in five Stars of David – one big in the center and four small in each of the corner pieces. I’m really happy with the way it turned out!

New phone, sewing, and… Latter Day Saints?
My eyes are barely open as I’m writing this, meaning this post will probably be somewhat brief. It’s been pouring down rain all day, which is my absolute favorite type of weather, but it’s made me sleepy and longing to crawl beneath the quilts and get some rest.

Sometimes I’m crafty!
Today I was looking for a good hiding place to shove a stack papers I didn’t feel like going through anytime soon and I stumbled upon a small quilt I made a few years ago. I decided it to add it to my “vintage” dining room since it fits in so well! So here it is – I hand-pieced and hand-quilted the entire thing back in, um… 2005? Wow. That was a long time ago! I kind of miss quilting. I should do it again someday!
